Right now I'm in an absolutely tricky situation. It all started with buying a new car. I just had to buy a Porsche. I was completely euphoric and, sadly, I have to admit I didn't think it through. I had just started a new job and was earning an above-average salary. After only my first three paychecks, I got the idea of the Porsche. But then something almost unbelievable happened. I was let go during my probationary period and have had no income ever since. For the new car, though, I used all the savings I had built up until then. I also nearly blew through the last three months' pay. I should also mention that I'm single and live in an expensive apartment. I can barely come up with the nearly $1,800 rent each month anymore. So what am I supposed to do now?

Out of Money and Afraid of the Benefits Office

I'm absolutely out of money and now dread going to the benefits office. That's surely understandable, right? Because with that step I could suddenly lose everything! I'd have to give up not just my car, but also my apartment. I'm out of money and would probably have to take any job I'm offered. I can't imagine any of this at all and I'm now looking for a way out of the crisis! Giving up would be completely wrong, in my view. Surely there's another alternative?

Out of Money and No Idea What to Do

I don't have enough money and I simply can't figure out what a way out of this crisis could look like. Somehow I'd need a new job. But that job also has to pay well, because as I mentioned, my fixed costs are disproportionately high. On closer inspection, though, another idea occurs to me. I'm now wondering whether my dismissal was really lawful. True, I was on probation and so I didn't get a reason, but I was let go from one day to the next. They simply said it wasn't a good fit. But is that really enough for a dismissal? And if so, isn't there also a certain notice period that has to be observed during probation? There are so many question marks in my head! I can also feel how much all of this weighs on me. Maybe I should seek out competent legal advice too? I'm grateful for any pointers. I know I made a mistake. Still, I remain a person with clear structures and a strong sense of responsibility. I believe that in the end everything will always turn out fine. Sooner or later even the hardest problem will surely resolve itself!
